Le Purse!

diy faux leather purse

Hello, All! I hope you are having an Amazing Friday! Just thought I would pop in to show you this cute little purse that I made last night! Take a look!

I found the brown, faux leather at Joann Fabrics!  This faux leather is soft, the most gorgeous caramel brown color, and is a dead ringer for the real thang!!! Boom! I wanted to add a little “whimsy” to it, so I decided to add the fabric that I chose for  lining to the top of my purse.

The zipper was a separating, 18 inch zipper.  Separating the zipper made it a quick and easy install.  The purse turned out to be 15 X 18 inches, and looks great folded in half.

This purse was easy to make and would be a great project for a beginner.

I really love the way it turned out, and I plan on carrying it this weekend! The center strip is a tad off center and I started to rip it out in order to start over.  I had my seam ripper ready, but the more I looked at it, the more I liked it and I decided to leave it alone. That’s the beauty of crafting your own stuff! No rules! lol! The only down side…wrinkles in the faux leather from being on the bolt, but a few books left on it overnight will take care of that!

That’s it! I hope you like my purse!! If you have questions, or would like to know how I made it, please let me know!!! Have a wonderful weekend!! Blessings!
