What time is it??? You got it! It’s…..
This week’s MM is with Mrs. Erika G.! I love this woman! She’s my sister from another mother, a woman of God, devoted wife, nurturing mother, and she loves GLAM! I’ve been close friends with her sister Danielle for over 28 years, and Erika is indeed my family. This is her before.
Now, don’t let the bare face fool you because Erika has decent makeup skills! This photo was taken right after cleansing her beautiful face. She works in a professional environment and usually tones down her makeup during the week, but she pumps her look up by adding bright, and bold lip colors on the weekend. Erika usually rocks huge curls, but her bun was perfect for the makeup look I had in mind! Well, do you want to see it??? Ok, here we go!
Gorgeous! Now do you see why the bun works? She looks AMAZING, and I’m very happy with the results! I wanted to give her a bold eye color, and the only color I wanted to use was green! Green is bold, but I wanted to show her how bold, bright colors could be done in a classy way. I chose the orange red lip to complement the lovely green shade on her lids. Her eyes and lips stand out, but are cohesive because I kept in mind the law of color. Green is opposite of red, and anything close to natural red will pair beautifully with it! That’s a wonderful tip to remember when trying out bold eye and lip combos. Remember, the color wheel is your friend!
I’m in love with this NYX Loose Pearl Eye Shadow in Jade Pearl! I found it at Ulta several months ago on clearance for around $1.49. I wasn’t going to get it, but I’m very happy that I did! Look at this! It goes on smooth, very little fall out, and is HIGHLY PIGMENTED!! The camera and lights hit her eyes, and Bam! I was very happy to get this pic!! So pretty!
A little black and white action! This photo reminds me of vintage Hollywood! I love all of the photos, but this is probably my fav!
I love her so much. Her heart for God and helping others is present in all that she does, and she expresses that love by facilitating a group for those dealing with loss called, Grief Share. Erika knows that feeling all too well, but uses her personal pain of losing her father, grandmother, and aunt as a way to help others heal. I know her loved ones are smiling and I’m truly proud of the woman she has become. I love you Erika. Big hugs and kisses!!!
Thank you so much for reading this post, and if you are dealing with grief, please know there is love and support for you! You are never alone.
